Our radiation oncologists see patients with all types of cancer, and we have developed special expertise in head and neck, gynecological, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and pediatric cancers. Through close cooperation with our surgical and medical colleagues, we have developed cutting edge multidisciplinary treatment methods. Investigational protocols are available as a result of our relationship with the National Cancer Institute. Spectrum radiation oncologists, and the entire staff at each of the treatment facilities, are dedicated to optimizing curative and palliative care for you. Spectrum Medical Group is the only radiation oncology group in Maine that is a member of the Radiation Therapy Oncology Group (RTOG) and National Comprehensive Care Network (NCCN). The NCCN is a group of 19 prestigious institutions and groups dedicated to enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of cancer care in the United States. We are the only radiation oncology department in Maine that is accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR).
